It's in the news everywhere – the pressure students are feeling in school seems to be increasing over the years. Perhaps you've read an ar cle recently or spoken to a parent friend about an experience with your student. Anxiety is on the rise. PEF has been a partner with all 17 schools in helping create a balance in our district by funding programs that con- tribute to student wellness. For many years PEF has funded safe school counselors at our middle schools to bring social-emo- onal learning to the forefront. Specially trained counselors offer a safe and suppor ve place to talk and help our children handle school pressures, friends, parental conflicts and other serious issues.
