GRANTS
In 1990, Peninsula Education Foundation established the Chuck Miller Teacher Grant program to
honor Chuck Miller, a beloved Rancho Vista principal, past PEF president, and dedicated commu-
nity leader. Inspired by his vision, the program helps teachers turn innovative ideas into reality
by funding projects that extend beyond the scope of traditional classroom budgets.
Last year alone, PEF awarded $48,201 in Chuck Miller Teacher Grants to 37 outstanding teachers,
supporting everything from decodable readers and classroom libraries to wearable circuits and
other hands-on learning resources.
These grants celebrate the innovation and dedication of our educators while helping create
meaningful learning experiences for students every day.
