INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL Intermediate school is a pivotal stage in a student's academic journey, during which students refine critical thinking skills, develop a deeper understanding of various subjects, and begin to explore their personal interests and talents. Intermediate school also plays a crucial role in social development, as students learn to navigate more complex social dynamics and build important life skills such as time management, organiza- tion and self-advocacy. This stage lays the groundwork for academic success and personal growth, preparing students for the challenges of high school and beyond. Your contributions to PEF help support the following: Comprehensive Counselors STEM STEM education is vital in our children's curriculum. It creates critical thinkers and collaborators who gradu- ate school with global awareness and the ability to tackle real-world issues. PVPUSD middle school students are offered innovative classes such as Automation and Robotics, Design and Modeling and Space and Flight. These courses prepare students for our award-winning high school engineering programs. School counselors are crucial to the educational development of every student. They provide guidance in academic planning, assisting students in setting goals and developing effective study habits. Counselors also address the social and emotional challenges that often arise during adolescence, offering support and resources to help students navigate friendships, family dynamics and personal issues. Additionally, they promote mental health awareness and resilience, ensuring that students have the tools to cope with stress and build self-confidence. This holistic support enables students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally, laying a strong foundation for their future success.
