CHUCK MILLER TEACHER GRANTS In 1990, Peninsula Education Foundation was able to establish the Chuck Miller Teacher Grant program due to the generosity of Chuck Miller, former Rancho Vista Elementary principal, past pres- ident of PEF and local business leader. PEF's Chuck Miller Teacher Grants are an important resource for teachers providing unique experi- ences and learning opportunities for students that are outside of the classroom budget. This past school year, PEF funded $40,000 for the Chuck Miller Teacher Grants and awarded 36 exceptional teachers with grants allowing them to offer their stu- dents enriching and innovative educational activities. These grants provide classrooms with decodable readers, portable maps and compasses, classroom books, wearable circuit kits and much more. We salute these teachers for their passion and the positive influence they bring to the classroom each day.
