TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH modified ride-on cars for four families with children facing various disabilities. These dedicated students put their knowledge, skills and passion to good use, crafting spe- cial vehicles that would give these children newfound freedom and independence. At Palos Verdes High School, PVIT (Palos Verdes Institute of Technology) offers hands- on training in electronics, robotics, fabrica- tion and programming. Their competition teams continue to place in regional, state, national and international events. PV High's VEX Robotics team competed in the California State Championships after having one of the top 200 skills scores out of 6,000 teams worldwide. The PVIT First Robotics (FRC) team also at- tended the FRC World Championships in Houston, TX, where the top 600 teams in the world met for the Super Bowl of robotics.
