- Abbie Maemoto, 12th grade student at PV High School e early elementary years are particular- ly important in a child's education as they quickly acquire new skills and knowledge each day. It is the foundation of advanced learning. For the 2020-2021 school year, generous donations from parents and community members have allowed PEF to support: Librar y Aides Research studies have produced clear evi- dence that school library programs staffed by qualified school librarians have a positive impact on student academic achievement. Librarians provide a safe haven for all students to think, create, share and grow. ey help build strong students and lifelong readers. Physical Education Certified PE teachers work with students daily by promoting a healthy lifestyle which also improves self-discipline, self-esteem, and academic performance. Daily PE is an integral part of student wellness. Music Early music education has shown to improve academic performance and broadens students' understanding of the world around them. Music is part of a well-rounded education essential for stu- dents' social and emotional well-being and provides an outlet for creativity that is crucial to a child's development. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
