Great things happen when everyone comes
together!
2020 was the year of the 12th annual and
first ever virtual Skechers Friendship Walk,
an inspiring day that brings the entire
South Bay together to support education
and children with special needs. Normally,
the Skechers Walk rallies thousands every
October for a fun-filled celebration at the
beach, where families and friends gather to
walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Her-
mosa Beach Pier.
is year's event was streamed online with
celebrities, families and educators including
America's Got Talent winner Kodi Lee, LA
Dodger Clayton Kershaw and many more.
Since 2009, the event has raised more than
$13 million to support public education
and the Friendship Foundation. Because of
the amazing participation and dedication
from our PVPUSD families this year, PEF
received $160,000 from the Skechers Foun-
dation. We are grateful and proud of our
community that values the importance of
an excellent education!
