-Dr. Alex Cherniss Superintendent of Schools Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District We have experienced many changes and chal- lenges these recent years, but one thing has remained constant - Peninsula Education Foundation's mission of educational excel- lence. I would like to express my gratitude for the ongoing support from Peninsula Education Foundation and the many donors investing in the education of our children. We appreci- ate the partnership with the Foundation and their diligence and creativity to provide funds to enhance the educational experience for all our students. Despite the reality that we con- tinue to receive less money per student than surrounding districts, PEF continues to help bridge the funding gap, enabling us to sustain many important programs. It is clear that much of the success of PVPUSD is a direct result of this amazing community that values the importance of education, our students and our schools. Together in partner- ship, we have accomplished many great things and continue towards the same goal, to pro- vide the best possible education for every stu- dent, at all levels, and every school. We could not do this without your generous donations and ongoing support. We also remain grateful for the positive work and tireless dedication of the PEF Board and Trustees and countless volunteers who all share in our vision of "Putting Kids First".
