Dear Friends, Laura Hughes, President, PEF Board of Trustees Christine Byrne, Executive Director, PEF Elevating Education Together: is year showed us that it takes collaboration between everyone to provide an outstand- ing education for our children: parents, teachers, students, schools, administrators, the school board, PTAs, booster clubs, community partners, and Peninsula Education Foundation. ere is no question that Palos Verdes Peninsula is home to some of the top performing schools in the state. Many fami- lies move to Palos Verdes just so their children can attend our schools. Yet many people don't know that our district is one of the lowest funded districts in California. Peninsula Education Foundation exists to help bridge the funding gap between what our district receives and what it costs to provide an excep- tional education. PEF pays for important programs including additional teachers, library aides, music teachers, counselors, STEM programs, our College and Career Centers at both high schools, teacher grants, and more. Peninsula Education Foundation is one of the oldest and most respected education foundations in California, and this is all because of YOU! We are so very grateful to all of our support- ers who help us make a difference in the education of the children in our community and prepare them for the journey that lies ahead. If you are new to the district or have not yet given this year, please join us in Elevating Education Together. e best investment you can make is in your child's education and we invite everyone to join in our mission! With much appreciation,
