-Dr. Alex Cherniss Superintendent of Schools Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District I would like to express my gratitude for the ongoing partnership with Peninsula Education Foundation and the many donors investing in the education of our children. Even in the most challenging times, the Foundation has remained diligent, creative and positive to provide funds to enhance educational excellence for our students. Unfortunately, PVPUSD continues to receive significantly less money per student than surrounding districts; PEF continues to help bridge the funding gap, enabling us to sustain many important programs. It is clear that much of the success of PVPUSD is a direct result of this amazing community that values the importance of education, our students and our schools. Together in partnership, we have accom- plished many great things and continue towards the same goal, to provide the best possible education for every student, at all levels, and every school. We could not do this without your generous donations and ongoing support. We also remain grateful for the positive work and tireless dedication of the PEF Board of Trustees, staff and count- less volunteers who all share in our vision of "Putting Kids First."
