"Stanley and I agree that a community should support local public education to keep schools strong now and into the future," said Maureen. "Our family is proud of the long term fundraising work PEF has done over its 40+ years, and we consider it a sound investment. Plus, we get lots of joy from seeing kids in our community thrive." "My brother Brian, sisters Carlyn and Sheila, and I grew up in PV and attended Valmonte, Malaga Cove and PV High," said Michael. "We are all grateful and proud of the above and beyond education we received. We of course had to continue the awesome Moore Sea King tradition, so my son and daughter happily chose to attend PV. My whole family encourages each of you and your families to set something aside each year for PEF. It makes a huge difference. It was rewarding to serve on the PEF Board of Trustees for several years as well. e gis you make are properly stewarded and go into the classroom in a big way." ank you to the Moore family and to the Palos Verdes community - it takes all of us to keep our schools thriving. An alumni or grandparent gi of any size helps us provide our students with a rich academic environment to strengthen their educational experience. AN INTERGENERATIONAL HEART FOR GIVING Gratitude for growing up in PV schools extends well after graduation for many of our alumni families. Did you know that over a quarter million dollars per year is donated to your child's schools by alumni fami- lies who care about our community? For decades, the Maureen and Stanley Moore Family along with their son Michael Moore (who is a proud Sea King graduate with two Sea Kings of his own) have made major gis to PEF. ey value the inspiring teachers, specialized class- es and programs their entire family received and what their children and grandchildren are now able to re- ceive. ey know that others benefit from their philanthropy and that these gis can help build future com- petitive college students, stand out employees and leaders of tomorrow. e Moore Family: Michael, Maureen and Stanley
