PVPUSD is towards the bottom in funding but is rated the #2 Best School District
in the Los Angeles area and in the Top 10 Best School Districts
in California (Niche 2020).
Today, all tax revenues go to Sacramento where they are distributed statewide
according to a needs-based formula. This funding formula leaves PVPUSD with
fewer dollars per pupil than what is needed to provide the education we want for
our children.

70s, funding methods for education in California were turned upside down.
Our Challenge
In addition to the funding gap that persists, we now face challenges with distance
learning. Even more funds are needed as schools prepare for smaller class sizes,
thorough sanitizing and protective equipment for students and teachers.
