Not the year expected Not the year we expected... The COVID-19 pandemic altered the lives of our students, teachers and families. Everything happened in the blink of an eye. Schools closed and distance learning began. But teachers adapted, pivoted and responded to continue teaching and making connections with their students digitally. "My US History AP teacher, Mr. Hill, didn't miss a beat when school closed in March. Right away, Mr. Hill recorded full-length lectures that we watched on YouTube. Then we would meet as a class via Zoom to go over the lecture and to ask questions. He gave us a Google sheet to sign up for individual Zoom meetings to go over our essays and to give us feedback one on one. Preparing for an AP exam is stressful, but I am so thankful that my teacher was able to continue teaching effectively virtually!" - Abbie Maemoto, 12th grade student at PV High School
