Main Event Gala 2020 These donations directly supported our teachers and vital programs like music, PE and STEM along with librarians, academic and wellness counselors, comprehensive counselors, College and Career Center counselors and more. Although we could not physically gather for this year's Main Event Gala, we were heartened to see the community come together to promote academic excellence, champion innovation and impact the future of our children. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Main Event Gala 2021 whether it is in person or virtual. No matter what, we will create a way for our community to come together to support our kids! This past spring, we were getting ready for an extra special Main Event Gala to celebrate 40 years of supporting our PVPUSD students. We were looking forward to great entertainment by Super Diamond at the beautiful Terranea Resort. But as schools closed and the world quarantined, we cancelled our most important fundraiser of the year. We changed course and started planning an online auction where parents and community members bid on exclusive wines and one-of-a-kind packages that are normally auctioned off live at the event. We are grateful to all of you who helped make it a great success! We especially appreciate our corporate sponsors and business partners who stood by us even though the Main Event Gala was cancelled. In addition to our online auction, we had a virtual paddle raise where so many of you stepped up during these challenging times and invested in the education of our students.
