Intermediate school can be a challenge in more ways than one. Students enter middle school as children and leave as young adults. Because of you, our students have access to comprehensive counselors who work with them in the areas of social-emotional health, academics and college readiness. Through family, school and community partner- ships, counselors are committed to creating a safe and fun space where students thrive and feel con- nected. Their goal is to help develop productive citizens who are resilient, self-advocating and can balance the demands and stressors of life. Miraleste counselors: Karin Malinofsky and Lisa Larson Ridgecrest counselors: Jesse Straub and Christina Sunada PVIS counselors: Janine McKenna and Mariano Sanz Student Wellness "During my daughter's years at Miraleste, her counselor Lisa Larson has carefully and suc- cessfully helped her with both academic and social issues. This support did not end with the shutting down of school during the current COVID situation. She has reached out to her person- ally numerous times during this very difficult and isolating time to check on her stress level and help her stay motivated to do well in her online courses. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have a counselor like Lisa show true interest in my daughter's welfare. Her support is so appreciated." - Crystal Roche, Miraleste School Parent Comprehensive Counselors
