605 Chateau Montelena: The Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2015 This 2015 vintage is a show stopper that exudes depth and textural richness. The wine has the old world structure we expect of Montelena with a nice inter- play of silky, fine-grain tannins. On the nose, we get black cherry, plum, laven- der and licorice. There are many layers as it builds with a smokiness and fla- vors of cocoa, spice and blackberry. Robert Parker - 95 points Donors: Richard and Kelly Cook Value: $150 606 Odette Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District 2014 This impressive rich wine has aromatics of graphite, spring flowers, and some blackberry and blueberry fruit. It is made up of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, Mablec and Petit Verdot. Full-bodied and elegant, but also substantial and long finishing, this wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for 20 or more years. Robert Parker - 95 points Donors: Chris and Barbra Riegel Value: $130 607 Dunn Vineyards Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 This big, dark and juicy wine has an element of wildness that runs through it. Graphite, licorice, tar and smoke are just some of the nuances that add com- plexity. The 2006 boasts superb purity from start to finish. Elements of flesh- iness give the impression the 2006 might drink well relatively early, until the massive tannins set in. Floral notes add freshness on the finish. Donors: Dean and Alyson Decker Value: $150 Wine and Spirits Auction Main Event 2020
