black cherry, cedar, cocoa nib, mint and a hint of lavender, rose and bay. The
palette follows with bright flavors of red cherry and strawberry jam before
elements of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and fresh plums take
over. This wine is full-bodied displaying archetypal Howell Mountain tannin
balanced by an elegant structure.

686 Cade Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
This wine has a deep garnet-purple color and slowly gives up warm cassis,
blackberry tart and mulberries with touches of spice box, pencil shavings
and Marmite toast. The full-bodied palate is firm, grainy and muscular with an
earthy expression and just enough freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral
note.

687 The Mascot Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2010
The exclusive and hard-to-find Mascot is a cabernet sauvignon based propri-
etary red wine produced by the Harlan Estate and Bond Winery using grapes
from some of the younger vines at Harlan and Bond. Notes of graphite, cedar,
and forest floor are ever-present on the nose. On entry the wine is brought into
focus seamlessly through a fine lens of acidity, lending energy and freshness
to power and structure. Soft yet supple tannins expand out horizontally on the
palate, resolving into an extremely long finish.
