679 Chateau Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate reveals vibrant cassis, crushed black plums and black raspberries notes with hints of fallen leaves, damp soil, cedar chest and charcoal plus a waft of lav- ender. Medium-bodied with plenty of lively, crunchy black and red fruits, it has a firm frame of ripe, grainy tannins and a long, youthful finish with the oak still standing out slightly. Wine Advocate – 95 points Robert and Michelle Fullerton Value: $160 680 Lamborn Family Vineyards Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 This sets the standard of what mountain Cabernet should be. With a cellar life of 20+ years but showing beautifully out of the bottle now, the bouquet is simi- lar in its evolution in your glass. Rich notes of wild blueberry and currant, more concentrated and round thanks to the smaller vintage, open up to boysenberry, roasted coffee, and textured layers of vanilla. A rich and structured mouthfeel, thanks in part to the Lamborn vineyard's celebrated fine tannin, carries this beautiful wine from beginning to end with a long finish. Donors: Robert and Michelle Fullerton Value: $119 681 Paloma Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 This most recent offering from Paloma is nicely measured and well-ripened- whose complex combination of ripe cherries, vanilla, dried herbs and dusty earthspice brings a good deal of richness. It is supple in feel and nicely bal- anced with a fine sense of palatal weight, and despite showing a touch of heat as it finishes, still counts as a solid success. Cellar Tracker – 92 points Donors: Robert and Michelle Fullerton Value: $60 Wine and Spirits Auction Main Event 2020
