PEF Community Report ELEMENTARY SCHOOL The early elementary years are particularly important in a child's education as they quickly acquire new skills and knowledge each day. For the 2018-19 school year, generous donations from parents and community members have allowed PEF to support: MUSIC Early music education has shown to improve academic performance and broadens students' understanding of the world around them. STEM Learning through fun, hands-on projects helps kids grasp engineering concepts and promotes innovative thinking. LIBRARY AIDES School librarians build strong students and lifelong learners as they expose them to new concepts and help them unlock new possibilities. PHYSICAL EDUCATION Certified PE teachers work with students daily by promoting a healthy life which also improves self-discipline, self-esteem and academic performance. SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS Support specialists work with parents, administration and site staff to provide preventative support, early intervention and postvention services to students in need.
