Darioush In 2004, Darioush turned to Dan de Polo for his multifaceted perspective across many disciplines to lead the winery into its first decade of existence. President of the winery, Dan believes that a reputation is earned as much by distinctiveness as it is with consistency and trust. With a degree in design and architecture from UC Berkeley and later an M.B.A. from the University of Oregon, his diverse background spans hospitality, management, sales and strategic planning in investment management and wine marketing. In 1997, Darioush and his wife Shahpar founded Darioush and began to realize a lifelong aspiration to share the art, architecture, wine, craftsmanship and culture that has inspired them throughout their lives. Daniel de Polo, President, Darioush Darioush Khaledi's life story has inspired the cre- ation of Darioush Wines and continues to shape it today. Born and raised in Iran, Khaledi's fascination with wine was instilled at an early age by his fa- ther's winemaking efforts and the cultural history of winemaking in Shiraz. Darioush is noted for carefully crafted wines produced at their state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Napa Valley. Their offerings include Bordeaux and Rhone varietals grown in im- peccably managed estate vineyards in the Napa Valley, which include Mt. Veeder and Oak Knoll.
